Broadcast your nostr notes to all relays

Your nostr client publishes to a handful of relays. People who read elsewhere miss you. Add one broadcast relay, wss://blaastr.com, and every note goes to 1,155 online relays automatically.

Why your notes don't reach everyone

Nostr has no central server. Each client reads from its own set of relays, and an outbox-aware client can only find your notes if it knows your relay list and those relays are up. In practice many readers simply never connect to the relays you write to.

Broadcasting puts a copy of each note on as many relays as will take it, so whatever relays your readers use, your notes are already there.

Manual broadcasting vs a broadcast relay

Some clients have a 'broadcast' button that resends one event to the relays you have configured. A broadcast relay does it for every event, to every online relay, with no extra step, and tells you which relays accepted it.

Works with every client

Because blaastr is a standard NIP-01 relay, it works in any client that lets you add a relay: Damus, Amethyst, Primal, Nostrudel, Coracle, Snort, Iris, Gossip and more. Add wss://blaastr.com with write enabled and read disabled.

Questions

Will this slow my client down?

No. blaastr answers OK as soon as your event is queued; the broadcast happens on our side.

Do I have to give blaastr my private key?

Never. Your client signs as usual; blaastr only receives already-signed events and can't create or change them.

Can someone pay for me?

Yes. A subscription belongs to a pubkey and paying needs no sign-in, so anyone can gift a year of broadcasting to any npub.
