Publish with one request
POST ["EVENT", {…}] to https://blaastr.com/api/event and you get back ["OK", id, true, ""], the same message a relay sends. POST an array of up to 50 events to /api/events for batches. CORS is open and there are no API keys: the event signature identifies the author.
Or connect as a relay
wss://blaastr.com speaks NIP-01, so nostr-tools, NDK, rust-nostr and every other library can publish to it like any relay. NIP-11 relay info is served at the same URL.
Check and sell subscriptions
GET /api/subscription/:npub tells you if a pubkey is active and until when. POST /api/invoice returns a lightning invoice for any pubkey, and GET /api/invoice/:hash tells you when it's paid, so you can offer broadcasting to your users without leaving your app.
Built for automation
- Schedule events up to 30 days ahead with ?publish_at=
- Signed webhooks when each broadcast settles
- Per-relay delivery reports and reblasting
- Clear OK reasons: restricted, invalid, rate-limited, duplicate
Questions
Do I need an API key?
No. Only events signed by a subscribed pubkey are broadcast, so the signature is the authentication.
What are the limits?
Up to 1 MB per event, a per-minute rate limit and a daily cap per pubkey. See the docs for current numbers.
Can I broadcast for many users?
Yes. Batches can mix authors, and each author needs their own subscription, which you can pay for through the invoice API.
